- A person in the US dies from suicide every 16 minutes.
- 90 people in the US commit suicide every day.
- There is between 8-25 attempts for every completed suicide.
- There are three female suicide attempts for each male attempt.
- Males are 4x more likely to commit suicide than females.
- Suicide is the third leading cause of death of people aged 15-24.

DEPRESSION-
- By this year (2010), depression will be the #1 disability in the world.
- Approximately 9.5% of people in the US have a form of depression.
- Depression is twice as common in women than men.
- 30% of people with depression attempt suicide.
- Of that 30%, half of them succeed.
My STATISTICS-
- I am a female.
- I am 18.
- I suffer from depression.
- I am in college.
- I have attempted suicide more than three times.
- At least one man has died while I continue to accumulate suicide attempts.
- I plan on buying a firearm.

Wow, that´s harsh stadistics...idk the numbers in my country but it´s still very shooking...don´t buy the gun sweetie, give yourself another chance. I tried to kill myself several times too so i can´t say much...just give yourself a chance
I can understand where you are coming from. I match quite a few of those statistics myself. I keep waiting for the day when that can be the "old me"...but I don't know if that day will ever come. Best thoughts to you.
